Reason Behind Username: I’ve told this story before, but I guess I will again. The first game I ever really became obsessed with was Phantasy Star Online for the Dreamcast. It allowed you to somewhat customize your character. Naturally, I designed mine so that it was red and black. I named it DarkBlade. Actually, I think I named it $DarkBlade$. I prefer to forget that detail. Anyway, after a while I decided to make a new character. I gave him a black outfit and red, spiky hair. I wanted to use “Dark” again, so all I needed was a second word to attach to it. Considering the red hair, I decided to go with “Blood”. The numbers came later when for whatever reason I felt like adding them when I got AIM and joined IGN. I’ve remained DarkBlood everywhere, though the numbers aren’t always the same.
Best MyIGN Friends: I feel weird listing people anymore. It seems like I don’t talk to enough people.

Hobbies: Writing, gaming, biking, reading, watching TV/movies, photography, and hiking/walking around in nature when I get the chance. These days, I usually only listen to music when riding my bike or while working so I’m not sure I’d call that a hobby.
Pets: I have two cats, which is nearly always the case. Currently there’s Sierra and Kiera. Sierra is a little over 3.5 years old and Kiera is about a year and a half. We found them both on craigslist.

- People who think swearing (at all, not excessively) is a sign of lack of intelligence or of an extensive vocab. They're just words so stop being a pussy.
- People who say "Yes" when asked "Do you mind...?" Answering yes means you do mind, goddamnit. And it's "couldn't care less", not "could". And it's "intents and purposes", not "intensive purposes". It's "scot free", not "scotch free". It's "vice versa", not "vica versa". I could go on forever with this shit…
- People who are consistently late

Favorite Game Console: I don’t know if I necessarily have a favorite. Pretty much every console has a favorite game of mine. I guess if I had to pick, the PS3 might make the most sense considering it has TLOU, the Uncharted series, Infamous 1 & 2, several RE games, a couple of SH games, a couple of DMC games, GTA5, and the FFXIII trilogy. So, definitely either PS2 or PS3.

Least Favorites: First person shooters, sports, racing, fighting. I don’t necessarily hate any of them but first person perspective tends to give me a headache, especially in shooters where you’re constantly moving. I do think the market is over saturated with them since they all seem very similar to me, but oh well. I can find racing and fighting games fun but only very briefly. I’ve only ever liked a few sports games over the years, and they were all when I was a kid. I remember there being a basketball game that wasn’t realistic, a baseball game, a hockey game, and NFL2k1.
Favorite Food/Drinks:
Favorite Food: Almost anything chicken. I could seriously eat that pretty much every day. I always get chow mein, orange chicken, and sweet fire chicken from Panda Express. I eat chicken breasts from various places. I love fried chicken and baked chicken and grilled chicken. My favorite might be chicken alfredo that my mom occasionally makes. I literally ate that five days in a row, I believe, and my mom thought I was insane.
I’m definitely a meat eater in general. I love pork chops, steak, cheeseburgers, turkey, ham, and salmon, among a few other things that I don’t like quite as much. I love chips, some cereal, some pasta (as mentioned in conjunction with the chicken alfredo), pizza, pancakes, crepes, some cheesecake (especially the lemon/raspberry kind I just had for the first time), certain pies with my favorite being blackberry, meringue shells (try them if you never have), frozen strawberry dessert, ice cream, strawberries, grapes, oranges, bananas, apples, cherries, nectarines, deviled eggs/hard boiled eggs, popcorn, spaghetti, hamburger stroganoff, meatballs, these nong shim spicy chicken noodle bowls that I get… I guess I should stop there. :p I can say that I absolutely hate most veggies. The only veggies I get on the sandwiches that I make at work are lettuce and onions. Generally, the two sandwiches I make at work are the chicken bacon ranch and the turkey. I get lettuce and onions on both, along with pepperjack cheese, and chipotle sauce for the turkey and both chipotle and ranch for the CBR.
Okay, I suppose that’s most foods in general that I like, not just my favorites, lol.
Favorite Drinks: Pop (Punch, orange, root beer, Sprite, but especially Pepsi), lemonade, Gatorade, orange juice, smoothies (especially strawberry or strawberry/banana), milkshakes
Favorite Movies: Scream, Scream 2, Scream 3, Zodiac, Avengers, Iron Man (trilogy), The Last House on the Left (remake), Silent Hill, Fright Night (remake), Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Part I & II Favorite TV Shows: Angel and Buffy are my two favorite shows of all time. I also loved Dexter almost all the way through. Friends is my favorite sitcom ever. I own the entire Lost series, along with some Smallville (eventually I’ll get it all) and One Tree Hill (the first four seasons made up the best teen drama ever), Currently, I watch Arrow, The Flash, Game of Thrones, Supernatural (though it should’ve ended with S5), The Vampire Diaries, and Teen Wolf. Some other things like MasterChef are sprinkled in there as well.

Other Random Facts:
My favorite color has always been red. My second favorite color started out as orange, then changed to dodger blue, and then finally black. As some may have noticed, I love red and black as a color combination. Most of my room is painted black. The only reason the whole thing isn’t is due to having painted the word “BIOHAZARD” on my wall in black with a red outline. I also have a biohazard symbol painted in red on one wall.
Latin is the coolest sounding language. Too bad it’s dead.
I’m the type of person who can replay a game, reread a book, or rewatch a movie/TV show over and over. I don’t really understand anyone who never does any of those things. If you enjoyed something a lot, why wouldn’t you want to go back and experience it again?
I grew up loving basketball and I rooted for the Bulls because they were awesome and had Jordan. When Jordan retired, I basically stopped watching. I stopped playing it when I realized I was screwed as far as my height went.
I love the NFL. I got into it the year the Seahawks first went to the Super Bowl, and looking back on it, I’m actually glad we lost that one because I never wouldn’t been able to appreciate it like I did when we won it the season before last. Watching the team absolutely kill the Broncos on their way to the very first Super Bowl for the Seattle Seahawks was a glorious thing, and it’s one of the only times in my life I’ve come close to crying from happiness. It’s crazy how much a sports team can affect you. I can’t wait for the new season to start considering how we lost the Super Bowl this last year.
I love knives/blades. Duh.
I love nature, but I don’t get out in it enough. I have the burning desire to go to several national parks, but I have no easy way to do so considering I have no friends in this state.
I hate my shortness, but if I could change one thing physically about myself, it’d be my teeth. I have horrible teeth and there’s no way around it. And, of course, that shit is expensive as hell to deal with…so I don’t!
I basically have anxiety about spending money, lol. It causes me to save a lot, which is great, but even I sometimes think I go overboard with it. I just like the security that comes with having savings to fall back on if needed.
Single player will always reign supreme!

I love snow. It’s magical. There’s nothing quite like nighttime after fresh snowfall. It’s so quiet and pretty much feels like another world.
